Dr. Sneller is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics and the co-director of the Sociolinguistics Lab. Her research focuses on how social and linguistic factors interact to produce patterns of language change across generations. In her current research (MI Diaries), Dr. Sneller and her team are investigating how changes to social behavior in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic are impacting the lives and the language of Michiganders.
