The Summer Program Funding application form for 2020 is now closed.
Annually since 2015, DH@MSU has provided funding support for attendance at multi-day summer training programs (e.g. HILT, DHSI).
DH@MSU supports faculty and staff development by awarding registration and travel funds for faculty/staff* members and graduate students to attend summer Digital Humanities training programs. A limited number of awards of up to $1000 in funding are available. Faculty/staff and graduate students from any discipline or unit at any point in their career are welcome to apply.
Example programs include (but are not limited to):
- DHSI at Guelph (Guelph, Ontario) – May 4-7
- HILT – Humanities Intensive Learning and Teaching (Lincoln, NE) – May 18-22
- DREAM – Digital Resources & Methods (Philadelphia, PA) – June 1-4
- DHSI – Digital Humanities Summer Institute (Victoria, British Columbia) June 1-5 ; June 8-15
- SEI – Summer Educational Institute for Digital Stewardship of Visual Information (Evanston, IL) – June 23-26
- Digital Pedagogy Lab (Denver, CO) – July 27-31
- ESU – European Summer University in DH (Leipzig) – July 28 – August 7
Those awarded with registration and funding will be expected to share their experience with the Michigan State University Digital Humanities community by participating in THATCamp (August 2020). Award recipients are also expected to create a profile on the DH@MSU People section of the website.
*Faculty/staff is a broad category that encompasses anyone who is not currently a student at MSU and who is employed by the University.
