Suzanne Evans Wagner

Suzanne Evans Wagner is an Associate Professor of Linguistics in the Department of Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures (LiLac). She is a sociolinguist who studies language variation and language change, especially the intersection of speaker age with language change over time. As co-director of the Sociolinguistics Lab, she oversees a variety of projects involving field data collection, analysis of text corpora, and acoustic analysis of speech. Currently she is co-lead investigator of the MI Diaries project, which collects self-recorded audio diaries from people all over Michigan.
